Dean Excavating and Grading, Inc. is seeking a dependable Driver / Operator to support excavation, grading, hauling, railroad construction, paving, and site development projects. This position is ideal for an experienced construction professional who can safely operate trucks, equipment, and jobsite vehicles while working as part of a field crew.
The Driver / Operator will be responsible for transporting materials, operating assigned equipment, supporting daily jobsite activities, and following all safety procedures. Applicants should have a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and the ability to work in outdoor construction environments.
Safely operate company trucks, construction vehicles, and/or heavy equipment as assigned
Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from jobsites
Assist with excavation, grading, paving, railroad, hauling, and general site work
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections when operating vehicles or equipment
Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and jobsite procedures
Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns
Work closely with supervisors, operators, laborers, and other crew members
Complete required paperwork, logs, inspections, or reports as needed
Support general labor tasks when not operating equipment or driving
Represent Dean Excavating and Grading, Inc. professionally on jobsites and roadways
Valid driver’s license required
CDL preferred or required depending on assigned duties
Previous experience in construction, hauling, grading, paving, excavation, railroad work, or heavy equipment operation preferred
Ability to safely operate trucks, equipment, or construction vehicles
Clean or acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing if required
Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions
Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, and perform physical work as needed
This is a field-based construction position. Work may take place on active construction sites, roadways, rail-related jobsites, commercial properties, industrial sites, and other outdoor environments. The role may require standing, walking, lifting, operating equipment, driving, and working around heavy machinery.

This position is ideal for someone who is hard-working, safety-minded, and comfortable performing hands-on physical work in outdoor construction environments.
The Laborer will assist operators, drivers, supervisors, and crew members with daily jobsite tasks. Applicants should have a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced field setting.
Assist with excavation, grading, paving, railroad, hauling, and general construction work
Perform physical labor such as digging, shoveling, raking, lifting, carrying, loading, and cleanup
Help prepare jobsites, tools, materials, and equipment for daily work
Support operators and drivers by spotting equipment and assisting with safe jobsite movement
Load and unload materials, supplies, tools, and equipment
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Follow directions from supervisors, foremen, operators, and crew leaders
Follow all company safety policies and jobsite safety procedures
Work around heavy equipment, trucks, and active construction areas
Report hazards, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions to supervisors
Assist with other duties as assigned based on project needs
Construction, grading, excavation, paving, railroad, or outdoor labor experience preferred
Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor jobsite conditions
Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, shovel, rake, and stand for extended periods
Ability to work around heavy equipment and moving vehicles
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Reliable transportation to work or assigned meeting location
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew
